DONALD L. ANGLEHART represents manufacturers, energy companies, investors, property owners, lenders and municipalities on a wide range of environmental and contract law issues. He has over twenty-five years of experience in all aspects of environmental and contract law, including prior experience with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and as General Counsel of an alternative energy company.
His practice includes environmental litigation, such as the defense of enforcement actions initiated by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, permitting work for complex manufacturing, energy and municipal facilities, and counseling regarding remediation of contaminated sites and associated liability issues. He has served as environmental counsel on dozens of corporate transactions, and has extensive experience in contract drafting, enforcement of contractual indemnities, and arbitration. He has represented pharmaceutical manufacturers, power plant developers, energy facility host communities, recycled paper mill developers, biotechnology and life sciences companies, electronics manufacturers, universities and environmental technology companies, among others.
Mr. Anglehart has for several years served on the Real Estate and Environmental Curriculum Advisory Committee of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., and has authored or co-authored a number of publications, including, Limits on Governmental Authority to Enact and Enforce Environmental Regulations; Defending EPA Administrative Enforcement Actions; Environmental Regulation of Biotechnology; Environmental Liability Concerns for Corporate Directors, Officers and Shareholders; Environmental Opinions and Disclosures; Environmental Basics; and The Regulation of Medical Wastes.
Mr. Anglehart is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in Chambers Guide to Leading Business Lawyers (2002-2007), The Best Lawyers in America (2006-2007), and Massachusetts SuperLawyers (2004-2007). He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa (Pi of New York chapter).
His previous law firm affiliations include Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, where he was a partner and the chair of its environmental practice group from 1991 to 2005, and Gadsby & Hannah, where he was a partner and the chair of the environmental practice group from 1984 to 1988.
